My Journey

Way back when, in pre css days, I began building out flat HTML sites before moving into WordPress. After university, a stint as an IT technician quickly confirmed that wasn't the path for me, so I moved into agency life, managing projects end-to-end, from brief through design to front-end implementation.

That work sharpened a desire to focus on product, and in 2015 I made the switch. At Hudl, I spent ten years growing alongside a team that scaled from ~300 to 6,000 people, contributed to 8 acquisitions, and shipped across web, iOS, Android and macOS.

In late 2024 I joined Goodnotes as part of their foundation design team, working on the core experience across iOS and their cross-platform product spanning web, Microsoft and Android. Most recently I've been focused on building a top-tier typing experience as part of their new Text Document type.

Outside of work, I publish Figma plugins and build apps. Lately a lot of that energy has gone into AI, using it in my day to day, building with it, and figuring out what it means for design as a discipline. I'm genuinely curious about how it can improve my craft as a builder, and excited for what's ahead.
